If you stare at them for a minute, you will get +5 to hand to hand.
Then go to where their sleeping mats are and you will surely see a chest.
Lockpick it or steal the key from the female.
Inside will be 100 gold, Bands of Kwang Lao(+20 to hand to hand), and a blade skill book.
