If you die during gameplay and do not wish to restart at the previous checkpoint, as the screen turns red, pause the game and remove the batteries (unplug the pack from the controller).

Then return the batteries and turn your controller back on.

Un-pause the game and you will return to your point of death ,instead of going all the way back to your check point.
