When playing Shi no Numa, instead of going down the stairs go through the door near the hung marine and go down the stairs.
Then go past the mystery box and go through the door.
If you didn't open the stairs or the storage you only have to watch the mystery box opening.
If you get overrun you can always go through the storage.
