On any map or mission press and hold LB with the middle finger on your left hand, press the left joystick with index finger, down on the d-pad with left thumb, RB with right index finger and A with your right thumb and hold for a few seconds.

The gun you are holding will disappear off your screen, but appear when you melee or shoot.

It looks like you are holding your weapon down on another player's screen.
