Scattered around the world are various containers in the form of barrels, boxes and chests. You can put items in any of these for easy storage but be warned that although they are persistent it is possible you could lose the items due to a bug or patch update at any time so I recommend only storing low value/importance items in these random containers and using your house to hold your most valued gear.
