Rumors of Diablo 3 coming to video game consoles have been circulating for a long time now, driven mainly by various Blizzard job postings concerning a console version of the title.  We now have what should be final confirmation of the matter, with Blizzard Community Manager “Bashiok” tweeting the following:

@TaNGoIX Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project.

Exactly which consoles and which generation the game will be released on are unknown at this stage, although, as tweeted above, Josh Mosqueira, the lead designer for Diablo 3, is overseeing the development of the console version.
