If you want to pickpocket Protector Casdin easily without having to spend one of your stealth boys or boosting your Sneak, slap on the Chinese Stealth Armour (if you have Operation Anchorage), crouch and when you're hidden it works just as well as ever.

But the main point of this is to point out that the 5.56mm ammunition acquired from Protector Casdin when performing this cheat can be converted into other, more practical ammunition types with the use of The Pitt's ammo press.

Just use the press as normal by putting the ammo in the hopper and using the terminal.
What works effectively is performing this glitch and using the excess ammo to fuel your follower. This can, obviously boost their performance for lower levels, as players can equip a basic follower such as Butch (who would otherwise either munch your scarce ammo like a pig on heroin) with a magnum or shotgun, instantly turning her into a decent killing machine.
