Once you get all the weapons kits by dropping the ones you have and getting another requisition, get ammo and drop it next to the ammo replenisher.

Then use the ammo replenisher and drop what ammo you got from it.

Once you have the amount of ammo you want, pick it all back up, you can easily get thousands of rounds and won't have to keep going to replenish your ammo, just your health.
