Just over a week ago we reported that Epic Games were set to reveal a new IP at the Spike VGAs. Well, the announcement has since been made, and the new game they unveiled, Fortnite, will represent a significant departure from the type of game we are traditionally used to from the infamous studio.
Fortnite is an “expansive original world that invites players to be creative, resourceful and collaborative by day and defend their prized fortress by night”. We also know that Fortnite will utilize the latest Unreal Engine and that it looks like the style of play might be loosely comparable to Team Fortress or Minecraft?
