Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD Revealed

A couple of days ago we reported on a tweet from Tony Hawk regarding a new announcement due to be made at the Spike VideoGame Awards. Well the Awards have come and gone and we have the details on what Tony was talking about. Activision, together with development studio Robomodo, are set to release a new Tony Hawk game on current gen systems (including as an Xbox Live downloadable title): Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will be comprised of various levels from the first two Tony Hawk Skating games (being Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2), the key difference being that the levels will be remade for current generation gaming systems (hence the HD in the title). This sounds like a good move to me considering the recent decline in popularity of the Tony Hawk series of games versus the popularity of the series when the first title was released back in 1999!

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is due to arrive in summer next year and will be priced from $15 to $20.
