Far Cry 3 Closed Multiplayer Beta Coming This Summer

Far Cry 3 Closed Multiplayer Beta Coming This Summer

Ubisoft recently announced that the popular Far Cry franchise’s latest addition will be getting a closed multiplayer beta over the summer. Although the notion of a “closed” beta usually implies a limited amount of players and keys, Ubisoft has noted that there are a number of different ways to gain access to the multiplayer beta.

Of the ways listed, the easiest potential way of getting first access to the closed multiplayer beta involves “liking” Far Cry 3’s Facebook page. Ubisoft also claims that it will be giving 500 keys away on its Twitter and other social media pages, but when it will do so is currently unknown. A much more guaranteed way of getting a shot at Far Cry 3 early is to preorder the soon-to-be-released Ghost Recon: Future Soldier before May 22nd.

The beta is said to last approximately two weeks, and will only be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Up to 16 players will be able to duke it out in several maps and modes this summer when the Far Cry 3 multiplayer beta releases this summer. Stay tuned for impressions and updates!
