As soon as your game gets auto-saved then go to a slot machine and play it.

If you don't win what you want, then just just straight to the Xbox system dash by pressing the Guide button. This will ensure that your game isn't saved.

Then go back to your auto-saved game and you will be in the same position as before you started.

Hit the slots again for another chance at what you were really after!
