Cheat:
These Swords work like the Specialist abilities of multiplayer. It builds up until ready to use, lasts a short while, but is quite strong (it starts ready to use though).

Swords:
1. Find the Symbols: Go to Waterfront station and call the Train/Tram if it's not there. The wall maps show where the Tram is.

On the Tram; change destination to Footlight. Start tram. From the middle windows, watch the right side for red glowing windows. In the window you will see triangular symbols. You will see 2 of the 3 on this first ride. Memorize them.
At Footlight, wait for Tram to reset. Set destination to Canals. Start Tram. Again, look right for the last window (on your left you will see one of the symbols again, in case you didn't get a good look the first time).

Easy to remember symbols trick: the symbols are Cuneiform. The large triangle with the dent on the smallest side are equal to 10. The tiny triangles with the line are equal to 1. So 1 large triangle with 4 small ones is equal to 14. Remembering a number is easier than remembering symbols.

Note that these symbols stay the same all game. They vary from one game to the next though.

Some symbols are similar, be careful. Like 21 and 22.

2. With the symbols memorized (shoot video of each if needed to remember), go into the Subway (through a Rift, or from Junction if the door is opened).
Use Beast Mode and look at the arch (by Purple Beast censor) to see red symbols like the ones seen on the Tram. Using the left trigger, carefully shoot the 3 that match the Tram symbols.
Note that these symbols are exactly the same every game on this wall, unlike the Tram symbols which change every game.
If done correctly, the wall will disappear, revealing Eggs on Swords. Take an Egg with x.

3. Egg statues: there are 4 statues around the map that you must place the Egg on. Then you must kill roughly 11 zombies near each statue to power the egg. It will ding and glow when done. You may do multiple statues per round.

Each statue starts in a box that must be Beasted open (stab, while in Beast Mode).

Statue Box locations: 1. Subway, by Symbols listed above, (get it when zapping symbols).
2. Footlight: below perk machine, near Rift to Subway.
3. Waterfront: perk machine rooms, near door to Tram/Train.
4. Canal: By Beast censor next to Ruby Rabbit (ritual location).
Remember to place the Egg before you kill, and grab it when done!

4. Get the Sword: take your charged egg back to the Subway, trade it for a Sword.
Sword: starts charged, kill zombies to recharge. Hit RB+LB to activate it. R3=slash, RT=multislash, LT=ground stab effect (LT is dangerous at higher rounds, as you get grabbed by zombies, but fun at low rounds).

5. Upgrade the Sword: Go to the ritual location altar for your character;
Burlesque Dancer: go to Black Lace/Footlight.
Cop: Ruby Rabbit/Canal.
Boxer: Boxing Gym/Waterfront.
Magician: Easy Street.
There you will see a ghost, take the Ovum (Egg2) from the ghost with x, go outside to the large red symbol on the ground. Place the Ovum in the circle. The first will spawn a Margwa, the other 3 will spawn 2 Margwa.
Kill the Margwa to finish this part.
Then, you must do this at the other 3 red symbols by the other 3 ritual locations. You can only do 1 of these Ovum steps per round, so upgrading will take at least 4 rounds, but you can start on the round that you take the sword.

After the 4th one is complete, go to your character's altar and take the new Sword.

Now it is more powerful and LT instead launches an autonomous sword which fights along side of you.
