Cheat:
A cutscene will play whenever you get a new ability. Watch it, to make sure you see how the ability functions.
Always defend some key points, like your spawn point, where health spots are most likely to appear. If you see an enemy health spot, hide some Peashooters or Chompers nearby to take out enemies that try to approach it.
Deploy Cactus Drones whenever you can. Additionally, use secondary pots as often as possible to set up spawnable plants as immobile defenses.
