Major Nelson has released some impressive Black Friday sales figures relating to the Xbox 360. According to internal Microsoft numbers, more than 960,000 Xbox 360 consoles were sold in the United States during the week of Black Friday and of that number, over 800,000 were sold within a 24 hour period (presumably Black Friday!). In addition to that, Microsoft sold a fair few Kinect sensors as well, with 750,000 going to US consumers during the same week.
Given that the figures above do not include Cyber Monday (they are for the period Saturday 19 November to Friday 25 November only), which saw some equally impressive Xbox 360 deals floating around, it’s safe to say that the number of Xbox 360 owners in the United States has increased by well over one million in the last week or so.
