Skyrim 1.2 Patch Introduces New Glitches

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim LogoThe rollout of the 1.2 patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has not gone too well, with the Bethesda forums being inundated with complaints from frustrated gamers. On the Xbox 360, while the texture loading glitch has been fixed, there is now a new major issue with resistance.

Apparently those players that have chosen a character race with any sort of resistance (eg Dark Elves’ fire resistance and Nord’s frost resistance) have seen those resistance levels completely disappear. While this glitch was originally reported on the PS3 version of the game only, it has since been confirmed on the Xbox 360.

Check out this forum thread for a list of all the Xbox 360 issues bought about by the new 1.2 patch. And by the way, make sure you don’t try and clear your Xbox 360 hard-drive cache in order to remove the patch. That will take you back to the 1.0 version of the game, while all your game saves will require you to have 1.1 of the game… rendering them useless.
