Capcom have today announced that Resident Evil 6 will be arriving for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on 20 November layer this year, with a PC release coming at a later date.
Resident Evil 6 takes place ten years after the incidents at Racoon City. The President has decided to publicly reveal the truth about what happened there, but before he can do so the announcement venue suffers a bioterrorist attack. It is then up to Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield (both returning from previous games) to mount their own campaigns in an effort to save the world from a new bioterrorist threat. The events concerning Leon take place in the United States, while Chris is deployed in China.
Along with the game’s announcement comes the official trailer, which can be seen below. It will be interesting to see what Capcom can come up with to differentiate this title from previous games in the series.
On a separate, but Resident Evil-related note, the list of Achievements for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City was also revealed today.
