New Xbox 360 Dashboard Update Coming 6 December


Get set for a new Xbox 360 dashboard update to hit your console on 6 December. Microsoft have confirmed that the update will be arriving in exactly two weeks time and bring with it a number of changes designed to bring the console, as well as Windows PCs and mobile phones closer together.

Specifically, the update will include further integration with Kinect (including better voice recognition capabilities, which will in turn improve your ability to control the console and its functions), a cleaner interface (based on the Microsoft “Metro” concept), more access to content, as well as other tools like Facebook sharing.

In terms of specific conent, programmes from Bravo, Comcast, HBO GO, Verizon FiOS and Syfy will be able to be streamed to US gamers, while their UK peers will get access to BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and LOVEFiLM programming (full programming details here).
