Modern Warfare 3’s September DLC Pack Potentially Leaked

Although it has not been officially confirmed as of this writing, some very convincing screenshots of Modern Warfare 3’s upcoming DLC content pack have hit the web. Showcasing three new maps for Activision and Infinity Ward’s popular first-person shooter, it appears that Call of Duty fanatics will soon have some additional digital battlegrounds to wage war on. Hit the jump to see the screenshots for yourself!

Naturally, Xbox 360 Elite subscribers will be receiving the following maps before anyone else well in advance, and non-subscribers will have to wait even longer for their new map pack fix. Have a look at the first map, Boardwalk, below.

Set on, well, a boardwalk, it looks as if this map will be primarily focused on tight hallway combat and enough corner camping to last you a lifetime. Better pack your noob tube if you’re looking to keep your kill/death ratio at its utmost maximum. Next up, Gulch.

Gulch appears to be set in an arid outdoor location, reminiscent of Arizona or scenes from Breaking Bad. Although it’s difficult to tell what the firefights you’ll be engaging in are likely to be from these screenshots, it’s obvious that there will be a gulch somewhere in the map. Duh. Finally, we’ve got Parish.

With an aesthetic that resembles Treyarch’s Black Ops more than Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 3 trademark looks, Parish appears to be set in a bombed out city with lots of disabled vehicles for cover. Whether or not the buildings will be readily accessible for those looking to get a leg up on the competition isn’t quite known yet, but it’s likely that there are going to be plenty of nooks and crannies you’ll have to maneuver through as you stalk your prey.

The pictures match the typical thematic stylings of most loading screens for Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, and all the fonts match up appropriately, as well. It’s quite likely that after this begins to make the rounds across the internet that Activision and/or Infinity Ward will simply concede that the leaked images are, indeed, real, and disperse some additional information for all you Modern Warfare mavens. When and if such an announcement comes, you can be sure that we’ll update as soon as the news breaks.
