Mass Effect: Leviathan DLC Gets a Release Date

In case you just can’t get enough of Mass Effect 3 and are looking for just about any way to change the ending, the upcoming Leviathan DLC might just be the cure to what ails you. Featuring a powerful being that is supposedly strong enough to take on a Reaper, the Leviathan expansion will feature new planets and characters, and have Commander Shepard chasing after the Leviathan’s decidedly large footprint throughout the bulk of the experience. Although the expansion was announced earlier this month, the official release date was just unveiled at Gamescom 2012.

You can expect lots of explosions, some classic Mass Effect sci-fi drama, and a whole lot of bullets being slung about in the Leviathan DLC, which is set to release August 28th for the modest price of 800 Microsoft Points, or $9.99. Better load up your Xbox Live account with those point so you can grab this one on Day 1!
