Mass Effect 3 Ships Over 3.5 Million Copies

Mass Effect 3 certainly seems to be doing very well if the numbers are anything to go by. EA has announced that they’ve shipped over 3.5 million units in the week since the game’s launch. In addition, it has been revealed that approximately 890,000 copies of Mass Effect 3 were sold on the first day of its release. It’s important to note the difference between shipped and sold here, with shipped simply meaning sent to retailers, versus sold which means… sold!

Commenting on the numbers, BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka has said:

We have been truly humbled by the amazing response from fans and critics for Mass Effect 3. The game is a gripping, engaging experience where the decisions and choices you make will truly stay with you for the months and years ahead. We are all incredibly proud of Casey Hudson and the teams in Edmonton and Montreal for delivering the best game BioWare has ever made.

We recently posted all the weapon locations for the game (check here) as well as a hint that let’s you unlock the Battlefield 3 soldier for use in the multiplayer portion of Mass Effect 3.
