Introducing the MOAB 25 Killstreak Reward in Modern Warfare 3

One of the more interesting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 news pieces today is the belated discovery, or rather widespread discovery, of the MOAB 25 killstreak reward in the game’s multiplayer mode.

The MOAB (Mother of all Bombs) replaces the Tactical Nuke killstreak reward that was found in Modern Warfare 2 and the two differ in a number of ways. First off, the MOAB will not end the round like a Tactical Nuke did. Instead it downs every single member of the opposing team and gives the player an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) to use, which will disable all of the opposition’s equipment for one minute. In addition to this, every single person on the relevant player’s side will get double XP for the rest of the round, making it a really worthwhile reward to try and get for the entire team.

General feedback to the new 25 killstreak has been good so far, as most players actually found the Tactical Nuke option frustrating in that it ended the game. By removing that aspect from the MOAB and also granting double XP to the entire team for a round, MOABs are likely to be much more popular as a whole.
