Electronic Arts have finally confirmed the release date for the Back to Karkand DLC for Battlefield 3. PS3 owners will get early access to the new content from 6 December next week, while Xbox 360 and PC gamers will need to wait until 13 December, one week later.
The Back to Karkand expansion pack brings with it:
- Four maps from Battlefield 2, re-rendered using the Frostbite 2 engine. The maps are Wake Island, Sharqi Peninsula, Gulf of Oman, and Strike at Karkand.
- Three vehicles from Battlefield 2, being the VSTOL fighter jet, Desert Buggy, and an APC, as well a new one, the awe-inspiring Forklift.
- Ten weapons from Battlefield 2, being the FAMAS, L85A2, QBZ-95B, HK53A3, QBB-95, MG36, QBU-88, L96A1, PP-19 and MK3A1.
The Back to Karkand expansion pack is free for those who purchased copies of Battlefield 3: Limited Edition, but will cost $US15 for the rest of us.
