Another week and another release of Xbox Live activity by Major Nelson. The data is for the week of 31 October and the big question is whether Battlefield 3 managed to topple Call of Duty: Black Ops from its perch at the top of the table… The answer is sadly, no. Black Ops retained the number one position and was followed by Battlefield 3 in second. Modern Warfare 2 came in third, with Gears of War 3 and FIFA 12 following in fourth and fifth respectively (the same places they were last week).
Next week the data should be a bit more interesting as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be thrown into the mix. Judging by sales figures released so far, it should easily trounce Battlefield 3, but will it take out its predecessor, Black Ops?
