I hope all you Battlefield 3 players out there have been playing fair, because DICE have got the ban hammer out. Via Twitter, it has been revealed that “hundreds” of offending player’s accounts have been banned from the game and that they have also wiped the stats of other accounts for using exploits such as boosting.
The bans have taken place across all platforms apparently, but given the closed nature of consoles (making them much harder/impossible to hack), probably apply more to PCs than the PS3 and Xbox 360. That said, most exploits are probably not platform specific. One specific glitch allowed players to use the engineer repair tool or the EOD bot to gain tens of thousands of points in a single match.
