- Game Description: Silent Hill: Downpour for the Xbox 360 returns to the roots of the Silent Hill franchise, bringing back the horror storyline type of gameplay. Players will become immersed in the horrific world of Silent Hill as they face off with their worst sins and darkest fears. The story begins when a prison transport vehicle falls off a road, stranding a lone prisoner name Murphy Pendleton in Silent Hill. Infinite Ammo cheat for Silent Hill Downpour on Xbox 360

This glitch lets you pick up any firearm in a repeatable pattern.
During the movie theater side quest ("Cinema Verite") where you have to enter the 3 different movies through the projector screen (refer to a walkthrough for details on this side quest), there is a glitch that lets you drop your carried firearms and re-acquire them after an area-transition.
Before starting this glitch I would advise you to pick up whatever firearm(s) (remember that you can carry 2) you want the ammo for and have them fully loaded with ammo (I chose the rifle and shotgun). Then seek out the movie theater.
A step-by-step explanation of the glitch is presented here: After visiting the 3 separate movies wherein you get the code to the splice-room, you can gain access to the splicer. Go to the splice-room and merge the 3 films to 1 (in accordance with the side-quest storyline).
Put the merged film in the projector and walk to the front of the movie screen (don’t enter yet!). Now drop any firearms (max 2) on the ground in front of the screen, and enter the movie-world through the screen.
Immediately exit back to the movie theater and pick up your firearms from the ground where you dropped them (the movie will have stopped).
Return to the film projector and take out the film reel. Now approach the projector once more and reinsert the film reel to start the movie again.
Now enter the movie-world through the screen again and don’t drop your firearms on the ground this time! Once there exit back to the movie theater again, and viola!
On the ground in front of you lie your previously dropped firearms even though you picked them up before. Thus you can pick them up again and the amount of ammo they were loaded with will be added to your inventory.
This glitch can be done as many times as you want, but once you finish the side-quest by using the key on the chest in the attic (in the film-world) you can no longer reenter the film world. After this you can no longer interact with the projector anymore.
On a final note: You can resume this glitch through the entire game (as long as you can gain access to the movie-theater) if you don’t finish the quest by simply leaving the film-world untouched, and carrying on with the game (by for example resuming the main storyline).
This is due to the fact that leaving the movie-theater through the main door (and exiting outside) doesn’t break the glitch. In fact, doing this repeats the glitch – when you come back to the place where you dropped your firearms, they will be on the ground again!
This is of course another way to work the glitch, but is much more cumbersome, as the long walk to the exit and the 2 loading screens when exiting and entering the movie-theater to and from the outside takes a lot longer than the above-described method.
