Cheat:
When you are dueling you should keep your hand hovering around the gun circle, so your opponent is clearly in sight at all times.
When you hear the bell you can draw quickly by pulling the gun to the left and pulling the trigger as soon as the circle goes red.
This will usually hit in the lower torso.
